FUNFAB SUBSTACK CONNECTOR
Privacy and permissions
Effective October 27, 2026. This notice covers the FunFab Substack Connector extension. Your game and Substack have their own data practices.
What it does
After you explicitly select a Substack Live, the connector reads new chat display names and message text from that tab. It also uses the selected Live’s identifier, its page title and connection-health counts to connect the correct game. It does not post chat, start a broadcast, change audience permissions, or read passwords or cookies.
Where data goes
Selected chat names and messages are transmitted over an encrypted connection through Social Stream Ninja’s relay to the FunFab game you connected. Games may show names, scores and chat-derived actions according to their own rules. The relay and game are external recipients; the extension cannot promise their retention policies. The connector does not sell data, serve advertising, or use chat for unrelated purposes.
Storage and control
The connector keeps its selected Live, temporary connection credentials and health state in browser memory while running. It does not persist chat content or credentials in extension storage. Disconnecting stops capture; restarting Chrome or the connector requires a new connection. Browser installation metadata is managed by Chrome. Existing chat history is ignored when capture starts.
Why it requests permissions
The scripting permission starts the chat reader in the Live tab you select. Substack host access allows it to list eligible Lives and read their chat. Access to named FunFab game and staging origins lets their private host panels communicate with the connector. It has no access to arbitrary websites, browser history or cookies. No remotely hosted executable code is used.
Support and removal
Use your game panel’s connection help and safe diagnostics for troubleshooting. For publisher contact, use the developer contact information on the Chrome Web Store listing when available. You can disable or remove the connector at chrome://extensions at any time. This stops extension capture; it does not delete information already delivered to a game or relay.
